Very rural which is great for a relaxing break, and a short distance to the lovely city of York and other attractions. The standard of caravan was excellent, very comfy and warm, everything we needed, and could have stayed longer. We will be booking again next year!!!!!
Mrs S, Bradford, West Yorkshire

If you're looking for a quiet holiday and on site facilities i.e. clubhouse do not matter, then this site is ideal. Within short reach of a major city that has plenty to do and see.
Mr W, Eastbourne, East Sussex
20 November 2010

The caravan site was 5.5 miles from York city centre - 20 mins in a car, in a nice quiet location. Easy access to the centre by bus or car. The caravan was nicely furnished and clean. The local pub located 1 mile away, called The Ship Inn was excellent, lovely traditional pub with friendly staff and the food was amazing and very good value for money. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and would recommend this site as long as you don't mind being this far out of the city.
Mr F, St. Helens, Merseyside

We have just returned from a lovely week at Mount Pleasant, which is an excellent place for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Within very easy reach of York with a bus stop outside the park, or the park and ride at nearby Tescos. There are lots of local pubs serving nice meals and we hope to return soon.
Mr C, Bedford, Bedfordshire
11 September 2010

We arrived at the caravan park on time, sun was shining, everything was ready for us, no delays, caravan was very clean, kids loved it. York is a great city with lots to do and see, I would recommend this caravan park to others, especially with young children or elderly people. Very quite at night, you can enjoy a glass of wine in peace. Everything we needed, can't complain at all.
Mr R, ORMSKIRK
15 April 2010

Great base for a family holiday. Lovely, quiet area and excellent quality accommodation. The local park and ride was invaluable for travelling into the city plus the huge Tesco store next to it had everything you could need and more!!
Ms H, BUXTON, Derbyshire

Lovely, peaceful site. Ideal as a base for visiting York, Leeds and surrounding areas.
Mrs F, Newhaven, East Sussex
21 March 2010

I would recommend this holiday because you're far enough away for it to be peaceful and have a good local pub, and feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, but you're actually only a 5 mins drive to the main shops and park and ride. About 20 mins from York Centre itself. The caravan was very clean.
Mr S, SOUTHAMPTON
14 November 2009

The park is located in countryside approx 10 mins from the A64, it is a good location to visit the area and the park was exceptionally well kept and the caravan was new and superb quality.
Mrs H, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful site to relax at I would certainly recommend the one at Acaster Malbis on the outskirts of York, the caravans are kept clean and tidy as is the site itself, there is only a launderette on site but then not everyone wants a noisy club house nearby. Yet it's less than ten minutes to the park and ride at Askham Bar which will have you in the centre of York again in about ten minutes, and the 24 hour Tesco store next to the park and ride is the biggest I have come across.
Mr. S, MORECAMBE
12 September 2009

We had never taken a caravan holiday, or even thought about. We took this holiday very much as a last minute getaway to see York. We were surprised by the excellent quality of the accommodation and how comfortable it was. We'll definitely try this type of holiday again.
Mr J, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

This park was very peaceful, quiet and welcoming after a hard day of tourist activity, and although set in a rural location had excellent transport links into the town or onto the main roads. This was our first caravan holiday and we all enjoyed it very much!
Mr K, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire

I would definately recommed this holiday to others, the location was great to reach York (really easy on the park and ride), the park was clean and well looked after, and the caravans were not too close together and they were very clean and modern.

We stayed in a great caravan just on the edge of a beautiful little village in Yorkshire. The caravan was very clean and had everything in it we needed. We were actually shocked at how good it was for the price we paid! We wanted to stay longer but our holidays were at an end. You can't beat telling all your friends about the great time you had at a great price!
Mr M, Edinburgh, Midlothian

The location couldn't be better. A quiet countryside location, yet only a few miles from the city of York and within driving distance of the coast. Had four holidays in one. City break, theme parks, countryside relaxation and the traditional seaside holiday. This was our fourth visit to the park and we still found plenty of new places to go and things to see.
